Cake 101

Join New June Bakery in their new series of "CAKE 101" classes, and learn to create your own tasty treats.  Led by Noelle Blizzard, Owner & Founder of New June, this class will focus on how to assemble a cake from scratch, crumb coat, color and achieve a smooth finish on a layered cake.

The class will cover: how to make New June's signature Swiss buttercream, Swiss buttercream 101 (how to use, store, re-use, troubleshoot, and more), how to assemble a layer cake, how to crumb coat a layer cake, how to color buttercream and frost a cake with a smooth finish, and how to create a "sharp edge" and decorate with sprinkles.

During class, enjoy a welcome bubbly, light savory snacks, an in-class dessert spread, and 2 hours of hands-on, in-depth Cake 101 instruction.

All guests will take home: a fully customized 6" cake in the flavor and color of your choosing, a New June tote bag and stickers, and the secrets to making New June's signature Swiss buttercream recipe & more tips, tricks & shopping lists to take this practice home with you.
