Join Half Mad Honey for a candle-making and lunch gathering designed to slow you down and bring you closer to the natural rhythms around us. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll pour your own beeswax candle using beeswax sourced from their urban apiary in Philadelphia’s Navy Yard — a tactile, grounding experience that invites presence, patience, and care. Working with materials shaped by the hive offers a quiet reminder of how deeply connected we are to the natural world, even in the city.
After crafting, settle in for a family-style lunch featuring Sunny’s Mad Wingz, highlighting honey harvested from the same Navy Yard hives in collaboration with Vientiane Bistro. Thoughtful flavors, shared plates, and an unhurried atmosphere round out the afternoon.
